Greenfield introduction of S/4 Hana completed
The largest digitalization project in the history of ESA, the purchasing organization of the Swiss automotive and motor vehicle industry, has now successfully gone live.
In a concerted effort, ESA and the SAP consulting firm Itelligence replaced the almost 20-year-old SAP solution with the new S/4 Hana landscape. ESA now also uses SAP Fiori to cover the company's highly mobile day-to-day operations.
As part of the introduction of S/4, process re-engineering was on the agenda. Manual processes such as signing off delivery bills for delivery tours were digitized.
These tasks are now performed by the SAP Fiori app CMD (Chauffeur Mobile Device): Delivery bills are signed electronically, returns are recorded digitally by scan. And after the tour, the app outputs the delivery bills in sorted form. The ESA eShop was also relaunched, as its importance had grown immensely.
