Shortfacts - December 2015 / January 2016

No monthly SAP news should be disregarded. The Short Facts are dedicated to smaller news items as well as seemingly more or less important statements from the community. This is the place for SAP-specific press releases that otherwise tend to be overlooked.

Interface Cognos TM1/SAP BW

SAP officially certifies a new data integration interface to SAP NetWeaver BI (BW). The Cenit BW Connection interface automatically transfers usage, security and metadata from SAP BW to the IBM Cognos TM1 solution, where it is available for planning and budgeting tasks.

It is also possible to write calculated budgets or forecasts back to SAP BW, for example. BW/NetWeaver from version 7.30 and IBM Cognos TM1 from version 9.52/SP2 are supported.

"By using the original SAP query technology - Abap/RFCs - we provide IBM Cognos TM1 users with the Cenit BW Connection interface with a high-performance data interface and no quantity limits"

explains Dirk Zayko, Director Business Intelligence (BI) at Cenit.
