SAP Switzerland awards innovation prizes
Once again this year, SAP Switzerland is recognizing selected customers from the public sector for their innovative solutions based on SAP platforms and technologies. As part of the Public Services Forum, which was held virtually for the first time, SAP selected two winners of the Innovation Award from among the organizations that provide public services.
The 2020 winners are SBB and the Canton of Zurich. Together with integration and implementation partner Orianda Solutions, SBB has spent the past three years laying the foundations for the transition from a more time-based to a reliability-oriented maintenance approach. The SAP Asset Strategy and Performance Management (ASPM) solution is at the heart of this development. As the economically strongest canton in Switzerland, the canton of Zurich was particularly affected by the coronavirus-related lockdown in March 2020.
With the original completely manual process, the processing and payment of short-time work applications would have taken weeks or months. In order to speed up this process between applicant companies, unemployment insurance funds and the systems of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO as the payment office, this process has now been equipped with intelligence and largely automated in collaboration with SAP and Prodyna.
