SAPanoptikum September 2016

Human Centric Innovation in Action
After Düsseldorf, the Fujitsu World Tour 2016 made its second stop in Germany in Stuttgart. On June 21, everything revolved around the topic of digital transformation at the International Congress Center.
More than 600 visitors came to find out more about big data and cloud solutions, mobile technologies and software solutions from SAP. Under the motto "Human Centric Innovation in Action", numerous keynotes, expert talks and the exhibition explained the opportunities, risks and best practices of digitalization.
As in Düsseldorf, the speakers in Stuttgart also used sport as a comparison. Instead of Formula 1, the inspiration here was soccer - on the one hand for the occasion, as the European Championship was in full swing. But also because the popular turf sport also has numerous parallels and links to the digital transformation.
Even apart from goal-line and referee cams, clubs, coaches and teams would hardly be able to prepare for an important match today without the use of digital tools.
The participants of the event were able to welcome former FIFA referee Markus Merk as a "key witness", who explained interesting perspectives on decision-making under pressure in his guest lecture and made it clear how the corresponding approaches can also be applied in everyday professional life.
Companies will face enormous challenges if they want to make the digital transformation a reality in all its aspects and dimensions as quickly as possible. Both Rolf Werner, Head of Central Europe and Chairman of the Management Board Germany, and Fujitsu CTO Joseph Reger made this clear in their keynotes.
At the same time, however, the speakers also showed how these requirements can be mastered and what needs to be taken into account.
Break-out sessions, intensive background discussions and, last but not least, the Hyper Connected Van, which was on show for the first time at the exhibition, made the last stop of the Fujitsu World Tour in Germany a series of highlights.
The main focus was on Hybrid IT, Mobilizing the Enterprise, IT Made in Germany, Business Centric Infrastructure, Hana-based solutions and - of course - the Internet of Things (IoT).
The security issue was not forgotten in Stuttgart either: visitors were able to try out Fujitsu security solutions live, such as the Fujitsu PalmSecure authentication system based on biometric technology, which authenticates users based on individual vein pattern recognition.
There was also a lot to learn about the end-to-end security solution Fujitsu Surient.
