IA4SP Award
The SAP Partner Association is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year and organized a congress at which an award for innovative projects in the SAP community was presented for the first time.
Examples and lighthouse projects are very important when technology and organization change. The digital transformation requires courageous innovators who are prepared to test concepts and also to fail. 
Due to the large number of entries and highly interesting projects, the IA4SP jury decided to award two innovative awards, contrary to the terms of the competition:
2Bits surprised the IA4SP jury with its open and transparent approach to the topic of digital transformation.
The company suddenly found itself and its customers confronted with new challenges and changed market situations: SAP bought Ariba and shortly afterwards declared the classic R/3 SRM obsolete.
What next, 2Bits and its existing customers asked themselves. Knowing full well that changes in the ERP market take time, there was still a need for action. Cloud computing will not stop at supplier relationship management.
An IA4SP award went to 2Bits for the strategic step forward and the innovative start of an SRM discussion.
IoT can hardly be missing from any presentation today. However, many users have not yet fully realized the enormous amount of data generated by IoT sensors. IoT is also big data and without suitable concepts for processing terabytes of sensor data in "real time", many Industry 4.0 projects will fail.
The second award winner, Osisoft, not only has concepts, but also numerous reference projects on how industry can tame the flood of IoT data. Of course, Osisoft also received an IA4SP award for this innovative solution and concrete implementation. (pmf)
