Generous Executive Board salaries almost cost the SAP Supervisory Board its discharge at the Annual General Meeting.
The discharge of the Supervisory Board went just right for Professor Hasso Plattner with 54.5 percent. The vote was preceded by a heated discussion about the level of the Executive Board's salaries.
CEO Bill McDermott can earn a maximum salary of up to 41 million euros if he performs well. SAP's Annual General Meeting on May 10 in Mannheim also approved the actions of the Executive Board for the 2016 financial year and the appointment of KPMG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft as auditors for the 2017 financial year.
The shareholders have approved the management's dividend proposal. SAP shareholders will receive a dividend of EUR 1.25 per share for the 2016 financial year (2015: EUR 1.15). The total distribution to shareholders for the 2016 financial year amounts to EUR 1.377 billion.
