Resources and roadmaps

DSAG members see a lack of resources, but also a lack of digital corporate culture, as the biggest challenges in the upcoming tasks such as digitization, Hana and S/4 release change.
There is another way of putting it: Too few resources have been available for information, knowledge and education work in recent months.
SAP has not heeded the old adage: Do good and talk about it. There was too little talk about digital strategies and roadmaps. Sapphire is not an educational event.
SAP CEO Bill McDermott's show has high entertainment value, but little connection to the reality of existing customers. Here, SAP lacks the ability to listen and respond appropriately - a virtue that ex-SAP CEO Jim Hagemann Snabe mastered perfectly.
He was a great listener in the community - and the community trusted him. This is where the DSAG survey reveals the next SAP weakness: Only 45 percent of DSAG members agree that SAP's roadmaps are resilient and that, as an existing SAP customer, they have confidence in SAP's strategy. According to the survey, only 24 percent feel that they agree with SAP's actions and plans.
