Oliver Ratzesberger new Managing Director of Teradata

Oliver Ratzesberger has been appointed by the Board of Directors as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ratzesberger succeeds Victor Lund, who moves to the position of President and Executive Chairman on the Teradata Board of Directors.
As Chief Operating Officer (COO) since February 2018, Ratzesberger was previously responsible for global activities and led the strategy in the areas of market launch, products and services. Together with Lund, he planned and implemented the transformation of the company.
The appointment of Ratzesberger as the new President and CEO of Teradata reflects the confidence of the Executive Board and Supervisory Board to continue the strategy successfully. Ratzesberger has an outstanding career in the IT industry.
Before joining Teradata, he held various management positions in software development and IT in Fortune 500 companies and start-ups since 2013.

Suse expands sales in Germany

As the new Director Public and Territory Sales Germany, Mario Ester and his team will be responsible for supplying SMEs and the public sector with Suse's open source solutions.
He will also be responsible for maintaining the partner ecosystem. Thanks to his many years of experience in public administration and as an expert in the field of e-government, he has the ideal qualifications.
The business administration graduate was most recently Sales Director Government at Materna Information and Communications. He sees the upper midmarket as a very important target market.
When transforming their IT landscape, medium-sized companies in particular are looking for a partner who combines the provision of new innovative technologies with comprehensive consulting.

Tieto Austria expands team with Digital Advisor

IT consultant Tieto Austria has hired Peter Schmid, an experienced digitalization expert and industry insider. Born in Tyrol, he has been working as a Senior Consultant and Digital Advisor at the Vienna office since the beginning of the year.
His extensive expertise in the areas of consulting, development and project management makes Peter Schmid the perfect match for Tieto. The Tyrolean most recently worked as CTO and Head of Development at Grassfish and has extensive knowledge in the field of customer experience management, which is also part of Tieto Austria's core business.
He will primarily work in the areas of project management, requirements engineering, digital/agile advisory and consulting.

Hans Greiner new General Manager at Cisco

Hans Greiner has been appointed General Manager of Cisco in Austria, Croatia and Slovenia in February. Greiner is an experienced IT manager with many years of expertise. He has many years of management experience at Cisco, having worked in all core areas of the company in Austria and the region for more than thirteen years.
Until recently, he was responsible for Cisco Austria as Sales Manager and member of the Management Board. After studying economics at the University of Vienna and obtaining a Master of Business Administration from the University of Edinburgh, the native of Lower Austria previously held leading positions in other IT companies such as Oracle.
Hans Greiner says about the new task:
"At Cisco, we are passionate about constantly developing new digital trends and innovations. Together with our partners, we want to help shape digitalization in Austria and the region.

KPMG hires new tax partners in Austria




At the start of the year, the four tax experts Florian Brugger, Gerhard Dablander, Roman Lampel and Markus Vaishor became part of the management team at KPMG. Florian Brugger (left) is a tax consultant and has been with KPMG in Vienna since 2010. His clients include companies from all industries.
Gerhard Dablander (2nd from left) is responsible for the tax consulting business area at the office in Innsbruck, Tyrol, which he will continue to expand in his role as partner. Roman Lampel (2nd from right) joined KPMG at the beginning of 2018 after a 15-year career in tax consulting.
In his new role, he will make a significant contribution to the further expansion of the Mödling office in Lower Austria. Markus Vaishor (r.) has been working in tax consulting at KPMG's Vienna office for 15 years.
His main areas of practice - with a particular focus on real estate - include group tax advice and planning, M&A and restructuring.
MobileX has appointed Thorsten Fischer to the Supervisory Board. He succeeds Gerald Boyne, who resigned from his position for personal reasons. Thorsten Fischer previously worked as a solution and business consultant in technical sales for enterprise content management solutions.
Snow Software appoints Ken Schock as Chief Revenue Officer. In his new position, Schock will focus on all global revenue functions. He brings a thirty-year career with Snow that includes industry-leading organizations such as HP, BMC and VMware.
Valantic appoints Thomas Latajka to the management board. In his new position, the SAP expert will primarily expand Valantic's sales in the SAP ERP area with the aim of supporting companies on their path through digital transformation.
René Mulder has been appointed Head of Swiss Business by DXC Technology. Previously, Mulder was Director Sales and Area Sales Leader Switzerland at DXC Technology and was involved in the merger of Hewlett Packard and CSC.
Lothar Engelke has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Swiss Life Germany and member of the Executive Board. The 52-year-old comes from the Ergo Group and in his new position will be responsible for Swiss Life's company-wide IT and digitalization strategy.
Susanne Richter-Wills has been appointed to the top sales position at Abbyy in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with immediate effect. She will continue to drive forward the direct business and achieve the global double-digit sales growth target in the DACH region.
