For BW systems, the introduction of Hana has provided a huge performance boost. From the customer's point of view, BW on Hana primarily offers new perspectives. Hana is enormously fast, Hana reduces immense data stocks to a fraction of their original size and, finally, Hana makes processes possible that are unthinkable on conventional systems.

In the case of BW systems, Gisa has already been able to demonstrate its expertise in all fields: from the technical Hana basis to the project and operation of BW systems to BW on Hana.

From its successful collaboration with EnviaM, Gisa can point to more than four years of successful and trouble-free work with BW on Hana. The starting point of a project with Westnetz was to show that migration to Hana saves costs.

The technical business case showed green before the project was launched. First and foremost, the Stuttgart distribution network operator's decision in favor of Hana was clearly linked to the desire for more performance.

Against the background of increasing cost pressure in the energy industry, however, it was also clear that the introduction of new technologies must meet economic criteria. With Hana, Gisa was able to exploit all the potential for reducing the volume of data and thus also savings effects from the very beginning.

At the same time, the new BW on Hana is now not only a faster system, but also one that enables requirements for modern analyses and reporting using the total data volume even simultaneously, depending on the requirements.
