No-code? Never heard

Clevr, the company that helps organizations accelerate their digital transformation through Mendix's low-code and no-code (LCNC) development solutions, announced the results of a survey showing that a shockingly high number of executives in North America have never heard of no-code and low-code software development.
More than a quarter (27 percent) of North American executives surveyed said they were unaware of the technology. The level of knowledge about LCNC was low even among chief technology officers (CTOs) in North America, traditionally the most knowledgeable technicians within a company. Of those surveyed in North America, a whopping 38 percent said they knew nothing about LCNC. This is in marked contrast to the responses of their European counterparts. Only 24 percent of CTOs in Europe were unfamiliar with the technology.
However, experts believe LCNC is well on its way to transforming the way software solutions are developed. Gartner predicts that by 2024, 75 percent of large enterprises will use at least four low-code development tools for IT and citizen development initiatives. Another sign is that the executives surveyed who know about LCNC seem to have heard enough positive things to give it a try.
