Into the cloud with SAP Utilities Core

The Gasag Group has modernized its billing for grid operations with the successful SAP transformation to the cloud with SAP Utilities Core. The first major milestone was successfully reached with the conversion of the SAP billing system for grid operations at NBB Netzgesellschaft Berlin-Brandenburg, a Gasag Group company. The new system is now located in the SAP cloud and handles all service and billing processes centrally. With the switch, efficiency adjustments from the past could be adopted and combined with innovative components for market communication, device management and modern user interfaces.

The new platform also provides the basis for applications with artificial intelligence. This means that network processes now run more efficiently and securely and can be gradually optimized with AI in the future. The end-to-end cloud-based solution enables more flexible adaptation to regulatory requirements and thus provides the technological basis for automation and scalability.

Comprehensive effects
