Connected cars
Trend Micro is developing security solutions for connected vehicles with Fujitsu, Hitachi and Microsoft Japan.
Starting this year, Fujitsu and Trend Micro are working with car manufacturers worldwide to improve security measures for connected vehicles and their cloud infrastructure. As part of the partnership, Fujitsu will provide a security solution for connected vehicles with its V-SOC (Vehicle Security Operations Center) service, while Cloud One, the Japanese IT security provider's cloud security platform, will also protect the back-end cloud infrastructure. Both solutions work together to detect anomalies in the vehicle. These include, for example, malfunctions of the accelerator pedal or brakes.
They also offer additional detection functions for unauthorized communication and attempts to manipulate telematics servers as well as security data in the cloud infrastructure. The individual elements are recorded and analyzed holistically. Hitachi's vehicle and IT solutions, vehicle and cloud security solutions, Trend Micro's threat intelligence and Microsoft's cloud platform together form a holistic solution for connected vehicles. This also includes security solutions that detect and combat cyber attacks on vehicles.
