Change in the SAP management team
Alexander plaintiff will head the Central and Eastern Europe region. In his role, he is responsible for sales, operations, and strategic development of the region, which includes the market units Germany, Switzerland, CEE (including Austria), and CIS. He reports to Scott Russell, member of the SAP Executive Board. He succeeds Hartmut Thomsen, who is leaving SAP at his own request. Kläger has been with SAP in various leadership roles since 2012. Most recently, he was managing director of SAP Germany. The successor for the position will be announced soon.
Prior to this position, Kläger was Chief Operating Officer and Head of Cloud for the Central and Eastern Europe (MEE) region. In this role, he was responsible for the structural set-up, management of the internal organization, optimization of business-relevant processes and the entire cloud business in MEE. Prior to this, he was a member of the management team at SAP Germany for six years, where he was responsible for sales in the process, consumer goods and services industries. After studying technical business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Reutlingen, Kläger began his career at Volkswagen in Mexico. In 1998, he joined Arthur Andersen Management Consulting.
