After a fundamental cleansing and structuring of the data capital, the necessary modules are implemented to ensure efficient and sustainable handling.

These modules integrate into CAD, PDM and ERP systems and provide tools for handling components, parts lists or material master data. They provide cross-system support for further processing. Duplicates and incorrect data records are identified, and effective tools and processes ensure that data quality is maintained.

Effective search and comparison functions support designers or purchasers, create transparency and promote the cost-conscious reuse of components. Classmate unlocks high benefits from the achieved data quality in various automatic processes.

Based on CAD models, routings for mechanical processing are automatically created. Based on this, the manufacturing costs of components and assemblies - now also in 3D printing - are calculated. Material short texts, descriptions and automatic translations into foreign languages are generated from unique characteristics of the master data.

Cross-departmental processes of the material master record can be automated with intelligent workflows. As a new feature, the solution facilitates the retrieval of customs tariff numbers and the classification of goods in the customs tariff. In conjunction with ERP systems such as those from SAP, Classmate becomes an effective tool for master data governance.
