A lively scene of start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has developed in Germany that are developing innovative products and services based on AI technologies.

The goal of the AI Association is to represent the interests of these companies and to be actively involved in the discussion about the impact on society.

Among other things, this involves creating framework conditions for AI companies and cooperating with research and industry, also with the aim of building structures in Germany and Europe that can compete with providers from the USA and, increasingly in the near future, China.

It is also important that all sections of the population have a basic understanding of information technology. Among other things, a change in education policy is needed here.

It's not just that we need more computer scientists in the future, but that everyone knows the basics and interrelationships of these technologies that surround us all the time.
