IT and software for industry in focus

The digital age is all about flexible production, networked machines and systems, and the autonomous exchange of process data. Without software that maps these processes, Industry 4.0 would be impossible.

Hannover Messe exhibitors in Halls 14 to 17 offer solutions for all software challenges along the industrial value chain. In 2019, more than 100,000 visitors to the trade fair were interested in such solutions, which are increasingly merging due to the associated applications and technologies.

These include predictive maintenance, machine learning, MES (manufacturing execution system), logistics (WMS and TMS), data analytics, CAD (computer-aided design), PLM (product lifecycle management), business platforms, ERP (enterprise resource planning) for real-time monitoring, virtual reality/augmented reality, or even industrial security.

In addition to SAP, exhibitors include companies such as Autodesk, Atos, Amazon Web Services, Cisco, Dassault, EPLan, Huawei, Kaspersky, MPDV, Microsoft, PSI, Siemens PLM, Software AG and Telekom. New exhibitors in 2020 include Google, Knapp, McAfee and ProAlpha.
