IT spending in the EMEA region will grow again in 2020 and amount to 798 billion US dollars, according to the latest forecast by research and consulting firm Gartner.
This corresponds to an increase of 3.4 percent compared to 2019.
"2020 will be a recovery year for IT spending in the EMEA region after three consecutive years of decline" says John Lovelock, Research Vice President at Gartner.
"This year, the fall in the euro and sterling against the US dollar, at least partly due to Brexit concerns, has driven down some IT spending and caused a rise in local technology hardware prices. In 2020, the market will be able to recover as Brexit is expected to come to a resolution and the pressure on exchange rates is eased."
