Soccer World Cup 2018 - Video cockpit for national team

In response to the team's increasing need to efficiently analyze and share relevant match data to optimize their chances of winning, SAP and the German Football Association (DFB) developed the Video Cockpit and Player Dashboard.

The Video Cockpit is a content hub where video data from team matches as well as match and training information from various sources are brought together.

In this way, patterns and tactical alignments immediately catch the eye of the DFB's match analysts and coaching staff, and they are able to develop game strategies while taking into account any weaknesses of the opponent.

The Player Dashboard allows players to easily access personalized information and videos in real time from their mobile devices.

The Video Cockpit and Player Dashboard are the latest features of the SAP Sports One solution, which coordinates all processes related to administration, training, team, scouting and fitness, helping teams, clubs and associations to digitize performance assessment.

SAP and the DFB are already working on new solutions for match analysis based on artificial intelligence. Using pattern recognition and position data, it would be easier and faster to identify complex game situations and tactical alignments of opponents.
