Extended AI functions: New S/4 release
The new features are designed to help companies increase the productivity of their employees, support them in making decisions and provide better forecasts. This should enable companies to better adapt to changing requirements in order to better survive in an unpredictable environment. The new AI functions include predictive workforce planning, an AI-based explanation of the results of the detailed planning optimizer, AI-supported initiation of workshop service processes and an AI-supported upload of booking documents.
In the latter case, posting documents can be created more easily using generative AI technologies. It is intended to help employees in accounting to catch up on large backlogs when entering posting documents at the end of the period, which are often required for transactions outside the accounting system, temporary postings, settlements, accruals and provisions. SAP wants to set new standards in the field of artificial intelligence and continuously drive forward the integration of AI functions in the S/4 Hana Cloud Private Edition. SAP is currently working on new functions for AI agents, which will soon be made available via Joule. The basis for this is the recently introduced SAP Business Data Cloud.
