Educational work online
The E-3 publisher B4Bmedia.net has set up a video studio for the editorial team in Salzburg, from where discussions and conversations with members of the SAP community will be broadcast live with immediate effect. Up to five participants can be connected via the large video wall (the placeholders for three participants can be seen in the photo). The discussion participants are in the office or home office and are connected live via the webcams and microphones of a PC or notebook. An internet connection, browser and password as well as camera and microphone are required, a smartphone or tablet can also be used.
From the control room workstation in the E-3 Studio, the video signals of the participants are
either projected onto the large video wall or broadcast full-screen with appropriate overlays for name, function and company including company logo. The talks are moderated by E-3 Editor-in-Chief Peter Färbinger from the moderator's table, behind which there is another video wall for recordings or PowerPoint presentations. PowerPoint presentations of the participants can also be shown live and full-screen via the control room if they have been recorded in advance.
The E-3 Studio is ready for use at any time and contains two presentation areas. From the presenter's table, conversations can be held with three to five participants, and videos and presentations can be played in. The area to the left of the window is for a presentation with a standing presenter, who has three small monitors available plus a large video wall that can also show up to two participants, videos and PowerPoint presentations.
Automatic tracking shots direct the viewer's attention to the center of the action.
Thus, only a section of the image with the moderator's table, the back wall and the large video wall with the participants will be visible during online discussions. With the standing moderation, which works similarly to the well-known weather announcements on TV, it is possible to zoom in very close to the video wall in frontal view.
All E-3 video streams are recorded and available for post-production with professional tools (Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve). The
Livestream itself remains available on YouTube at all times.
