Companies reprioritize IT roadmap

Valantic and Techconsult asked more than 200 German-speaking companies from all industries at the end of 2020: How has the corona pandemic changed digitization plans and project priorities? With the result: Initially, the main focus was on securing business operations and protecting the health of the company's own employees.

The Digital Workplace in the home office, secure communication and flexible, transparent logistics processes were important. In the long term, Corona has accelerated urgently needed change processes, according to one of the survey's findings.

46 percent of the survey participants have started new, previously unplanned projects, including in the areas of supply chain management, e-commerce, process optimization and automation. Study participants were IT managers, IT department heads and decision-makers.
