US chemical company changes

The globally active American chemical group Celanese has converted its entire production and warehouse logistics at its Forli site in Italy to SAP. The Italian subsidiary of CNT Management Consulting was the partner responsible for the project. The listed US company operates the largest European compounding center for chemical and pharmaceutical products in Forli (near Ravenna). Due to its strong growth, it was necessary to digitalize the entire project management. This affected all processes in production and in the warehouse, some of which were previously still handled manually and often on paper.

CNT Italy brought the necessary SAP know-how and language skills to the project in order to quickly implement the roll-out with the Italian users. The changeover to SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and SAP Manufacturing Integration & Intelligence took around 20 months. The main aim of the project was to digitally map the many different standard processes, which were previously largely carried out manually and were very labor-intensive, and thus make them future-proof.
