Removing obstacles for women
Digital education continues to be a major challenge in Austria. There is a shortage of 24,000 skilled workers in the IT sector in this country. At the same time, the proportion of women is stagnating. It is precisely for these reasons that skilling is one of the four pillars of Microsoft's "Make tomorrow possible today" initiative. With this in mind, Microsoft, the Enterprise Training Center (ETC) and the association #thenewITgirls are joining forces to reduce barriers to entry for female career changers with a compact and affordable program.
The digital training program - #thenewITgirls Boost Camp (em)powered by Skill Campus offers 100 places. It is aimed at all women with a digital affinity and an interest in technology who are interested in a career change into IT and are looking to exchange ideas with female role models in this field.
