It is well known that quite a few routine-driven IT infrastructure tasks or work steps in the SAP Basis area are still performed manually or by means of complex scripting. Or there are partial automations instead of an integrated and holistic full automation approach. Furthermore, although automation tools are in use, they are complicated to use and also functionally incomplete or unfortunately only rudimentary.

Many tasks, one system

With the guideline "automate what can be automated in SAP Basis", Empirius has created the automation suite Empirius Planning and Operations Suite. It positions itself as an SAP Basis system management suite and in fact stands for professional full automation in the SAP IT environment.
Infrastructure environment (SAP Basis). This includes, for example, solutions for the creation of system copies and for the creation of sandboxes, as well as for tasks and actions such as the execution of SAP kernel patches (for SAP security reasons), rolling out authorization objects, adjustments to SAP profile settings and much more. Whereby the automation suite is constantly being further developed. 

All information about an SAP IT infrastructure as well as about individual SAP systems can be displayed seamlessly in EPOS, both in overview and in detail. This information can be accessed to perform tasks and actions on the various SAP systems.

BlueCopy/BlueClone integrated with EPOS

Soon, Empirius customers of the EPOS automation suite will be able to use extended SAP Basis functions for further infrastructure work areas. From now on, for example, the creation of system copies (BlueCopy) and sandboxes (BlueClone) will be integrated into EPOS. All SAP Basis tasks and actions can thus be performed directly from a central location in a smart way. In addition to system copy and sandbox creation, this can include automated SAP kernel patching (for SAP security reasons), automated rollout of authorization objects, automated adjustments to SAP profile settings, and much more. Other SAP Basis application deployments will follow. It is irrelevant in connection with EPOS whether there are 20 SAP systems or more and also whether they are classic ERP systems with Any DB or SAP HANA (based) systems such as S/4HANA.
