AI-supported test automation
The AI-based approach is expected to mark the beginning of a new era in test automation. Test automation techniques have evolved from script-based to model-based and are now moving towards AI-based approaches.
With the new concept, software teams can run automated test cases much earlier in the development process in Agile and DevOps environments - for example, as early as the whiteboard mockup or rudimentary prototype. Using self-healing capabilities to adjust tests as applications evolve from sprint to sprint can eliminate bottlenecks and deliver software innovation faster.
For the first time, test-driven development can now be performed consistently at the business process level. Testing and test automation often occur too late in the process. Previously, applications had to be developed first before test automation could be created. As a result, test teams are always one step behind developers and risk a bottleneck in application delivery.
With the introduction of Tosca 14, Tricentis is driving a comprehensive strategy to embed the potential of artificial intelligence throughout its portfolio. This saves testers the effort of test design, execution and maintenance. Tosca also improves the business value of enterprise and cloud-based applications by minimizing risk, time and cost in the deployment process.
