Suse Cloud Application Platform 2.0 provides a new Kubernetes operator that enables easier deployment and management of the Cloud Foundry-based platform on Kubernetes infrastructure. Installation, operation and maintenance of Suse Cloud Application Platform 2.0 on Kubernetes platforms are simplified - on-premises and in public clouds. Cloud Foundry users have an accelerated, pragmatic path for moving to a modern Kubernetes-based architecture.

Also, the new product offers an improved web-based management console. Administrators can manage applications more easily and securely. The rich new workload view provides deeper insight into applications and deployment settings. Security is guaranteed through Helm 3 - with a shift in access control directly to Kubernetes. Theoretical attack opportunities are reduced by eliminating Tiller, the server-side component used in Helm 2.
