Realtech expands management
Peter Weisbach is the second Managing Director of Realtech Germany with immediate effect. Together with Bernd Kappesser, he will drive forward the realignment of the Walldorf-based technology company.
The innovator with outstanding market knowledge and a strong focus on future topics such as Industry 4.0, cloud and mobile is primarily responsible for the market-oriented further development of the product portfolio.
With the targeted adjustment of the product portfolio, the company intends to take a further step in its strategic realignment. Weisbach:
"Realtech has set itself ambitious growth targets to once again take a leading role in the market. To achieve this, we need a service offering that is 100 percent tailored to the needs of our target groups."
Weisbach wants to drive the further development of the portfolio and integrate innovative technologies such as cloud and mobile. Weisbach, a computer scientist, comes from Symantec, where as Director Global Accounts he built up the Deutsche Post DHL and Deutsche Telekom sales divisions.
As a Security Innovation Partner at Deutsche Telekom, he positioned security products in new markets in Germany and Europe, among other things. Previously, he held management positions in the ICT environment from 1998 to 2014, including several years in the Telekom Group.
Most recently, he was Senior Vice President New Business & Innovation at T-Systems. In 2012, he received the Innovation Award for Best Collaboration & Communication Platform from Cisco.
Jean-Pierre Brulard responsible for EMEA at VMware
VMware has appointed Jean-Pierre Brulard as its new senior vice president and general manager of the EMEA region. He succeeds Maurizio Carli, now general manager of the Americas region.
Formerly responsible for the southern EMEA regions, Brulard reports directly to President and Chief Operations Officer Carl Eschenbach and is now responsible for all of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where he will continue to drive the expansion of VMware's core businesses of Software Defined Datacenter, Business Mobility and Cloud Services.
The IT veteran with French roots has spent the past 25 years working at some of the world's largest technology companies, including Business Objects/SAP, IBM, Sun Microsystems and Unisys, before joining VMware in 2009.
"With his management experience, expertise in the software industry and successful career at VMware to date, we are confident that Jean-Pierre will be instrumental in helping VMware continue to grow in EMEA"
says Eschenbach.

New publishing management at Rheinwerk
Rheinwerk Verlag has expanded its management team. Susanne Böttcher takes over the publishing management from Tomas Wehren, and Stephan A. Effertz, previously head of marketing, moves up to managing director for marketing and sales.
In future, Rainer Kaltenecker will confine himself to commercial management, and Tomas Wehren will be responsible for strategy and software development within the management team. Susanne Böttcher is new at Rheinwerk Verlag.
She most recently worked as program manager for the specialist and advice publisher Eugen Ulmer. The publishing house was founded in Bonn in 1999 under the name Galileo Press. Rheinwerk Verlag publishes relevant technical literature under the name SAP Press.
Gunda Cassens-Röhrig new GFOS Managing Director
GFOS, a provider of software solutions for time and resource management, has expanded its management team. The company has appointed Gunda Cassens-Röhrig as managing director. She will support Burkhard Röhrig in the management.
Cassens-Röhrig, who has been with the company since 1989, will be responsible for Products & Services. Röhrig, founder of GFOS in 1988, is responsible for Marketing & Sales, Recruiting, Infrastructure and Finances.
Since the company was founded, GFOS has expanded continuously and, in addition to its headquarters in Essen, has branches in Hamburg, Stuttgart and Munich as well as a subsidiary in Switzerland and numerous international partners.
Additional responsibility at NetApp
Alexander Wallner, NetApp's area vice president for Central Europe and Russia, has additionally assumed responsibility for Net-App's businesses in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Africa.
Previously, the region was led by Thomas Ehrlich, vice president for NetApp's partner ecosystem in EMEA. One of Wallner's first steps will be to further increase his presence with customers and partners in the region to better meet local market needs.

New Directors at Cisco
Jutta Gräfensteiner will be responsible as Director Channel and Partner Organization. She is also responsible for Inclusion & Diversity in Central Europe. The experienced marketing and communications manager has held various management positions at Cisco since 2000.
Petra Schmietendorf will be the new Cloud Director and will further sharpen Cisco's cloud offering as well as support new and established partners together with Sales in positioning the topic of cloud with Cisco customers. She has been with Cisco since 2012.
Markus Koerner and Norbert Janzen are the new managing directors of IBM Germany. Koerner succeeds Gregor Pillen, who will lead the Global Business Services consulting division at the European level in the future. Janzen takes over the position of Labor Director at IBM Germany.
Infor has brought Jeff Laborde on board as Chief Financial Officer. The veteran Wall Street executive reports directly to Infor's CEO Charles Phillips. Laborde previously served as CFO at SumTotal Systems, a provider of human capital management (HCM) software.
Christoph A. Harvey takes over as CEO and expands the management team of DeskCenter Solutions. He was previously a member of the Management Board and was previously responsible for Sales and Marketing. Harvey has been active in the IT environment for more than 25 years and was, among other things, Managing Director of Sage Germany.
In September, Karl-Gerhard Pütz moved from CGI, a global service provider for business and IT consulting with origins in Canada, to the Porsche subsidiary MHP. As an Associated Partner, Pütz will primarily be responsible for expanding the market presence for MHP Application Management.
Rimini Street, an independent provider of support for enterprise software such as SAP and Oracle, has appointed Edenize Maron as managing director for Latin America. In this newly created position, Maron will be responsible for expanding the business in this high-growth region.
Reto Graber has taken on the role of Head of Travel & Logistics at T-Systems Switzerland and is a new member of the Swiss Sales Management team. In this position, Graber is responsible for both supporting existing customers and acquiring new customers in the Travel & Logistics market segment.
