

IBM and SAP are launching a joint program to better integrate and further develop their technologies and services relating to IBM Cognitive Computing, IBM Cloud and IBM Power Systems, SAP S/4 Hana and the Hana Cloud Platform and to add industry-specific functionalities.
The new solutions will be available both on premise and in the cloud and will support customers in their digital transformation. The two companies plan to pool their resources at their locations in Walldorf and Palo Alto to work on cognitive business applications, an improved user experience and industry-specific solutions.
Plans include the development of cloud-based solutions and new hybrid and on-premise solutions. IBM will develop cognitive solutions for S/4 and expand them with interfaces to cognitive business applications.
In addition, IBM Interactive Experience (iX), SAP Global Design and the SAP Customer Engagement and Commerce team will work together to develop new experience formats that can be customized for customers without major effort.
