The BVDW members have re-elected most of the previous presidium and added new heads from the digital industry. BVDW President Matthias Wahl sees his course confirmed:
"Over the past four years, we have continuously developed the BVDW into the decisive driving force of the digital economy with a consistent core in the Presidium, and in the process initiated, accompanied and completed numerous change processes."
At their meeting last year, BVDW members passed a resolution to amend the association's articles of association in order to work even harder to increase the visibility of women in the digital economy and make the BVDW more attractive as a platform for female digital experts. One year later, the Executive Board is taking positive stock: A woman has been elected to the chair in eight of the nine committee elections held since the last General Meeting.
Voice elects new presidium

Voice, the federal association of IT users, elected its ten-member executive committee at its general meeting. Hans-Joachim Popp is the new Chairman of the Executive Committee.
"I am delighted that we have been able to recruit such outstanding people for the Presidium. This puts us in a position to deal with our large portfolio of topics with a high level of competence and to formulate demands."
sums up Popp.
"I will continue to intensively pursue both central concerns of our federal association: To be a knowledge and exchange platform for digital decision-makers and, at the same time, to represent the interests of IT-using companies vis-à-vis politicians.
Especially in times of rapid technological and social change, Voice is called upon in many places. We must enable our companies to benefit more intensively from advancing digitization. This includes, for example, demanding fair licensing and usage conditions from manufacturers."

"I would like to thank the Bitkom members for their trust. In the next two years, as Bitkom president, I will work to bring more speed and more determination to digital policy. Digitization is the best thing that can happen to us as a country poor in raw materials. Now we also have to make the most of it.
Berg said.
"Germany and Europe need their own digital agenda and must strengthen their digital sovereignty to avoid being ground down in the escalating dispute between the U.S. and China.
Digitization can help us master the major challenges of the future - from a fair and good healthcare system to resource-efficient mobility and climate protection. It deserves our attention."
