New PAC Study Published: SAP S/4HANA in Germany
More than 100 companies were asked, among other things, what aspects are prompting them to migrate, what benefits they expect for the individual functional areas, what implementation strategy is chosen, and what role external service providers play in the process. An excerpt of the results.
Motivation for the changeover
One of the main drivers (76 %) is the possibility of making SAP processes more flexible and agile through S/4HANA. This is followed, with 68 %, by the demand from business departments for better processes.
In addition, compared to the past, when IT was almost exclusively in favor of ERP migration, the management level is also increasingly playing a greater role in the decision to migrate to S/4HANA (55 %).
Brownfield or Greenfield?
Only one-third of the companies planning S/4HANA implementation projects are considering a new implementation of the SAP systems in the course of the S/4HANA implementation. In contrast, most companies prefer to migrate their existing systems (67 %).
