The Cloud Platform SAP SDK for iOS will offer new features to enable access to enterprise applications and business processes from mobile devices.

The SAP Cloud Platform is the foundation of Leonardo, SAP's system for digital innovation. The combination of these technologies allows rapid innovation that enables customers to evolve into smart businesses and equip themselves for the demands of the 21st century.

The new usage-based business model for SAP Cloud Platform is designed to make it easier and more convenient for customers to configure and use platform services. Companies can thus easily purchase cloud credits and quickly provision and activate the available SAP Cloud Platform services via a central cockpit.

This gives them the opportunity to use innovations flexibly and introduce them at their own pace. The new business model also ensures transparency in the use of services.

This is done by regularly measuring the consumption of cloud assets and generating reports and comprehensive billing analytics. This makes it easier for customers to determine the services they need for their applications in a timely manner and monitor their usage.

The enhanced SAP Cloud Platform SDK for iOS is designed to enable the development of intuitive mobile user interfaces with new controls and tighter integration with the Xcode development environment.

Combined with other SAP Cloud Platform features, this enables the development of powerful mobile applications for businesses. The SAP API Business Hub now gives customers access to programming interfaces directly in their apps, while SAP Cloud Platform makes it quick and easy to translate app user interfaces.

New controls for analytics also enable mobile apps to analyze and visualize data from S/4 Hana, SAP Big Data Services, and Hana in real time.

Further innovations allow iOS device functions to be used in end-to-end processes for administrative tasks such as onboarding.

SAP also introduced two new iOS apps: SAP Insurance Sales Assistant enables insurance brokers to efficiently manage all sales activities with a 360-degree view of customers with comprehensive information and an overview of key metrics.

SAP Asset Manager leverages the digital core of S/4 Hana and SAP Cloud Platform as an IoT platform to manage work orders, notifications, condition monitoring, material consumption, and time management and error analysis.
