The proposed dividend represents an increase of 0.10 euros, or nine percent, compared with the previous year's dividend of 1.15 euros.
Subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting, the total distribution to shareholders will thus amount to around 1.5 billion euros (2015: 1.4 billion). This corresponds to a payout ratio of 41 percent (2015: 45 percent).
SAP intends to continue to distribute more than 35 percent of consolidated profit after tax in the future. The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders is convened for May 10, 2017 at the SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany.
Payment of the dividend will be initiated as of May 15, 2017.
