Data interoperability with Graph Engine
The latest developments in the Data Integrity Foundation significantly streamline Precisely Data Integrity Suite services. The Data Integrity Foundation has been enhanced with a new connector framework, an expanded data catalog, hybrid execution agents, workflow orchestration, AI-driven intelligence and more. In addition, Precisely improved the performance of the Data Integrity Suite user interface and is introducing a new developer portal that provides tools and resources to help developers integrate data integrity into their applications.
The Data Integrity Foundation forms the basis for the interoperable SaaS services. Key elements of the newly expanded Foundation include: comprehensive data and metadata connectors; expanded data catalog; and AI-driven intelligence to proactively detect data errors. The intelligence also accelerates the development of data integrity pipelines by providing intelligent recommendations for next steps and data enrichment options to reduce the time spent on manual data management. In addition, Foundation provides the flexibility to run and tune multiple AI models for different use cases and centrally manage these models to alleviate security and compliance concerns.
Workflow orchestration enables Data Integrity Suite users to design, manage and automate tasks from a centralized location to reduce costs, minimize human error and foster collaboration between technical and business teams. "In our ongoing quest to make data easy to discover, understand and use reliably, we use the Data Integrity Suite," said Zachary Decent, Data Governance and Quality Manager, Enterprise Data Management at UK Power Networks, which supplies electricity to a quarter of the UK population.
Data enrichment and AI
Unified access to a connected network of trusted data sets enables users to perform advanced queries to gain valuable insights: The Data Graph API is a new addition to the Data Enrichment Service within the Data Integrity Suite and provides simplified access to the data portfolio for flexible queries, data enrichment and improved data discovery.
Data enrichment - the process of augmenting company data with carefully selected third-party data to increase the usefulness, accuracy and usability of the data - is becoming increasingly important for companies. This is especially true for companies that want to ensure that initiatives such as AI and machine learning are based on contextually relevant data.
Research has shown that the use of data enrichment as a key strategy to improve data integrity has increased by 22% year-on-year. Despite this, many companies continue to struggle with the time-consuming and often manual process of accurately integrating third-party data.
The Data Graph API, based on GraphQL technology, greatly simplifies data enrichment by allowing users to specify their data requirements in a single query. The API filters and organizes the data before it is made available, ensuring that companies receive only the most relevant information according to their requirements.
