Capterra study on AI in cybersecurity: AI versus AI
AI-based attacks are seen by German companies as the biggest cyber threat this year. The software assessment platform Capterra examined the areas in which companies use AI-supported systems to protect themselves against attacks and the benefits and challenges they face. The survey polled 670 respondents who are involved in their company's cybersecurity measures and allocate part of their company's IT budget to AI-based cybersecurity. Phishing and social engineering attacks (41 percent), internal threats due to unintentional or malicious actions by employees (32 percent) and ransomware attacks (29 percent) were cited as the main reasons why companies have decided to invest in AI-supported cyber security.
