Digital Journey Monitor
How the Swiss economy will invest in digital technology by 2025
The top three goals experts hope to achieve through digitization are: innovation boosts from data analysis (84 percent), process efficiency (81 percent) and new business models (80 percent). These are the findings of DXC Technology's Digital Journey Monitor 2023. For this, more than 100 managing directors and specialists in Switzerland who decide on the digital transformation of their company were surveyed.
The majority of companies are prepared to invest more money in the top three digitization goals: According to the survey, 54 percent of decision-makers plan to increase budgets for data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence over the next three years.
In addition, by 2025, a good half of all companies will be spending more money than before to drive process automation. However, the vast majority of decision-makers report obstacles that stand in the way of a new systematic utilization of data: The shortage of skilled workers and the lack of know-how in the company are currently particularly serious. In practice, 74 percent complain about a lack of in-house skills for the systematic use of data as a major stumbling block.
