Almost half of all companies with 20 or more employees (46 percent) say they are interested in using services from the European cloud and data infrastructure. Of these, 14 percent have already firmly planned to use Gaia-X-compliant services, while 32 percent can imagine doing so. In 43 percent of the companies, Gaia-X is currently not an issue, and the rest have not yet formed an opinion. Large companies are currently more interested in using Gaia-X than smaller ones.
For example, 12 percent of companies with 20 to 99 employees say they already have firm plans to deploy them, and another 32 percent are interested. Among companies with 100 to 499 employees, 18 percent have firm plans and 37 percent are interested. And among large companies with 500 or more employees, as many as 32 percent have already planned to use it, while another 32 percent can imagine using it. These are the findings of a representative survey of 604 companies commissioned by the digital association Bitkom.
