Hybrid key
Companies with a strategic approach to hybrid cloud adoption are four times more likely to achieve accelerated digital transformation. This is evidenced by the "Unlocking the Secrets of the Hybrid Cloud Leaders" survey commissioned by Fujitsu. The survey was produced by Longitude, a Financial Times company, and is based on a survey of 300 respondents worldwide. All of the companies surveyed that have a holistic hybrid cloud strategy and are defined as leaders in the survey said they were able to accelerate their business transformation. This was in stark contrast to only 24 percent of companies classified as followers.
Currently, almost all enterprises are using some cloud-based business applications and have recognized the benefits of scalability, adaptability and cost. While a small minority have a pure cloud strategy, the majority of respondents benefit from cloud investments on top of their existing applications and infrastructure: this is a hybrid cloud approach.
According to the survey, leaders of a hybrid cloud strategy are twice as likely to work with a third-party provider to help them with their cloud transformation, and more than twice as likely to outsource hybrid cloud management. This indicates a willingness to draw on the extensive expertise of a specialized third-party provider to help them implement their cloud transformation, rather than going it alone. Based on these results, new cloud managed services are now being developed on an ongoing basis. These are a holistic suite of cloud management services designed to help customers accelerate digital transformation.
Shunsuke Takagi, Senior Director, Hybrid IT Global Offering Lead at Fujitsu, says of the study: "That is why I am pleased to announce the global availability of Fujitsu's Cloud Managed Services. By providing a holistic suite of cloud management services for Microsoft Azure, AWS and VMware, Fujitsu enables customers to accelerate their digital transformation.
