The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to rethink everything that we took for granted. Overnight, practically everyone not furloughed or classified as an ‘essential worker’ had to start to work from home (WFH). Companies didn’t have a lot of time to prepare for WFH, but they had to be able to provide employees with a secure, stable infrastructure – not to mention legal certainty regarding data protection regulations and labor laws. Not surprisingly, companies that were already using cloud solutions before the pandemic hit fared better than their on-prem counterparts. Consequently, cloud is quickly becoming one of the most important building blocks of digital transformation.
