SAP has announced that the switch to EWM is no longer the only option for continuing SAP-based warehouse management by 2025. Under the name S/4 Stock Room Management, there is the option of continuing to use the warehouse core processes in LE-WM.

With S/4, SAP also offers integrated solutions for production and detailed planning for supply chain management. S/4 offers functionalities that were previously only usable in a separate SCM tool. These have now been integrated into the ERP. All features are available consolidated in one system.

A lot has happened in the Fiori world since its introduction in May 2013, and since Release 2.0 at the latest, one can speak of a mature technology.
