SAP Solution: DSAG

Many existing SAP customers are at a crossroads as to whether SAP's ERP should continue to play a leading role in the future or whether there are a variety of alternatives with a composable ERP. SAP is countering this with a new Business Suite.
This SAP option is an admission of years of failure. SAP has many customers, but SAP also has a good overview of the ERP system portfolio. With a little foresight—not just in terms of stock price—the disaster should be obvious.
Never before has SAP offered such a wide range of IT tools, ERP solutions and end-to-end business processes as well as AI support. SAP's existing customers now have to choose from this huge range. Many are overwhelmed. SAP partner Fsas Technologies and open source pioneer Suse have jointly decided to take users by the hand.
In terms of IT and SAP investment budgets, many companies continue to show a high willingness to invest. The overall IT budget is increasing at 40% of the companies surveyed in the DACH region, compared to 43% a year ago.
A dashboard for the CCoE manager, Customer Center of Expertise, is a perfect answer to the Composable ERP. Hana, S/4, BTP and BDC create an almost unmanageable ERP architecture. LeanIX can help out to some extent, but SAP for Me is the better answer.
The annual investment report of the German-speaking SAP user group, DSAG e. V., is always eagerly awaited. In addition to the survey data itself, the level of participation is an important indicator of the mood in the SAP community.
It is now becoming clear that the work of SAP CEO Christian Klein is not sustainable: despite the attractive buzzwords such as cloud and AI, the SAP share price plummeted disproportionately. Why?
It is becoming increasingly difficult for SAP customers to obtain relevant information about the capabilities of the ERP software they are using. The SAP list of prices and conditions seems to be the only remaining source of information.
E3mag.com has received a surprisingly large number of articles about SAP licenses this past month. We have been observing this growing need for discussion for several months. Licenses are becoming a key factor for S/4 conversion.
Only about a third of the DSAG (German-speaking SAP User Group) members trust SAP's strategy. SAP CEO Christian Klein's visions are correct, but the way they are presented and communicated misses the mark with the SAP community.
In addition to the inevitable topic of AI, Christian Klein's keynote at the DSAG Congress focused on the Business Technology Platform. Naturally, he also addressed the cloud-only strategy and what on-prem customers can expect in the future.
SAP CEO Christian Klein has done a great thing: the pre-programmed crash has been prevented. But where do we go from here? No one at SAP knows.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
