SAP-Solution: Data Migration International

Data migration in just three months: SAP existing customer Hawle goes live with S/4 as planned. One-Click Transformation and JiVS IMP platform massively shorten and simplify the transformation to SAP S/4 Hana. The data concept is crucial when information is turned into concrete forms of action.
In the background, the biggest ERP change in IT history is probably taking place. In contrast, the version change from the mainframe-based SAP R/2 to the three-tier client-server system SAP R/3 was only a mild spring breeze.
Data and content from operational applications that are no longer processed there should be continuously transferred to a legally secure and system-independent platform such as JiVS IMP.
DMI is taking steps to radically simplify the transformation to SAP S/4 Hana. To this end, the company, which specializes in information management, advises SAP existing customers to have their own data layer for all information that is no longer processed operationally.
Back at Sapphire 2019, SAP emphasized the importance of data to the future of enterprise software in general and the transformation to S/4 and C/4 in particular. Here's the concept SAP's existing customers should follow.
It all started with the introduction of a central SAP client. In the meantime, the JiVS platform supports the Swiss SAP existing customer Bühler not only in decommissioning legacy systems but also in agile business scenarios such as mergers and acquisitions and carve-outs.
Bill Clinton's campaign slogan "It's the economy, stupid!" also applies to the transformation to S/4. Only those who can reduce the mass of SAP and non-SAP data before and after the migration will win the race against time and save cash.
The future lies in data. The digitization push of the past few months bears impressive witness to this. But if you neglect your history, you will also gamble away the future.
Nothing works without data structures, right? I am influenced by my computer science studies and the associated activity of programming in the Pascal language. Pascal was developed by Professor Niklaus Wirth at the ETH Zurich. The standard textbook "Algorithms and Data Structures" exists for this. In the E-3 conversation with the CEO and founder of Data Migration International, Thomas Failer,...
When moving SAP to the cloud, it makes no sense to take relational databases with 10, 15 or 20 TB of data volume with them for cost reasons. CIOs and SAP managers are therefore rediscovering an old topic: archiving.
With Thomas Failer, founder and Group CEO of Data Migration International, E-3 Editor-in-Chief Peter M. Färbinger had an in-depth conversation in Switzerland against a magnificent backdrop about the breadth of tasks, trends in the SAP community and also historical developments.
Mergers, acquisitions, buy-outs, carve-outs and spin-outs are supposed to make companies more agile, but they often lead to complex IT projects with far-reaching organizational consequences. It doesn’t have to be that way, though.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
