SAP Solution: business suite

SAP's ERP universe has been opening up in technical and business terms for many years. The black box R/3 has become a composable ERP, which is fed by many SAP cloud services, ERP/ECC 6.0, the new SAP Business Suite and numerous functions from third-party users and hyperscalers. With its expertise, global SAP partner Nagarro brings a methodology to this...
Joking aside, no, ECC is not making a comeback. These announcements also fit in with the strategically congruent decisions that SAP has been making since 2023. Why 2023? Because a major stumbling block in SAP's communication was cleared out of the way at that time.
At the virtual SAP Annual General Meeting in mid-May, CEO Christian Klein explained the entire ERP offering and the BTP and BDC platforms. It was a consistent picture, but S/4 was missing and the flagship product was not mentioned. What now?
The SAP Business Data Cloud, BDC, will be the catalyst for a future ERP digital twin. Computer science has known about the simulation of dynamic systems for many decades, and now SAP has discovered it.
What the SAP community has been demanding ever more vehemently over the past year was now officially announced by SAP at the beginning of February. The regular maintenance of ERP/ECC 6.0 will be extended until the end of 2027 and Extended Maintenance will be available until the end of 2030, S/4 until at least 2040.
The SAP bosses were the source of mistrust and dissatisfaction. Those innocent of mistrust are now to be measured by customer satisfaction. SAP is becoming grassroots democratic.
Anyone who wants to take a targeted approach to the transition to SAP S/4 Hana cannot avoid the topic of data archiving. The be-all and end-all here is a company-wide, transparent and holistic archiving strategy.
SAP customers are now able to use far-reaching best-class cloud services from Oracle flexibly, securely, with high performance and cost-effectively in mission-critical environments. In a comparison by Accenture and other analysts, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure achieved the best results.
SAP was a revolution in terms of its technical and business approach. The company and its relationship with existing customers have largely evolved. SAP is not a quick fix, so historical knowledge is a guarantee for future success.
Those who don't start building up SAP licensing expertise now will regret it when they migrate to S/4 at the latest. The British beverage company Diageo could have saved itself a lot of problems and money if it had known the true story of indirect use. The facts have been on the table since 2005.
Companies will face immense challenges over the next few years. On the one hand, they are approaching digitalisation projects that will decide on their market success in the medium term. On the other hand, the daily business processes must continue running steadily and be incrementally improved and adjusted.
The energy companies are waiting excitedly. Starting in 2018, SAP also wants to service the energy sector using S/4. An energy supplier’s IT tasks are extremely diverse now. They are about digitizing business processes and business models. Smart-meter roll-out and smart-meter gateway are also being put into effect.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
