SAP-Solution: Berechtigungskonzept

SAP implementations, migrations to S/4, or preparation for audits and compliance certifications: SAP experts are well utilized, often overworked. The topic of authorization concepts is also on many to-do lists - unloved, but indispensable.
Authorization and license management within the SAP cosmos is a sensitive issue for many companies. SAP authorization concepts are indispensable for company-wide compliance and IT security.
An authorization concept that is up to date is essential for data protection in companies that use SAP.
Although the number of security incidents at large and medium-sized companies is steadily increasing, many are subordinating the topic of data security to transformation projects. Andreas Opfer and Holger Hügel from Secude explain what modern security concepts should look like and how SAP managers can integrate them sensibly into current S/4 Hana migration projects.
Data that could previously be protected by SAP authorization concepts is now increasingly exported from secure SAP systems and redistributed via third-party applications such as MS Office. Anyone who wants to protect their data should think about new, data-centric security concepts and anchor them as a core process in operational IT operations.
With the new EU GDPR, data protection has become a matter for the boss. As of May 2018, violations of this regulation will no longer be punished with a maximum fine of 300,000 euros, but with up to 20 million euros or four percent of global sales, whichever is higher. This is making CFOs and CIOs sit up and take notice.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
