SAP-Solution: Amazon Web Services

Cloud provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced plans to expand its offering in Germany with new data centers in Berlin and Munich.
OpenText's portfolio of information management solutions will be available as managed services on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Cloud computing is already a reality for many companies today. Cloud-based applications (software as a service) are also becoming more and more widespread. But what about ERP systems in the cloud?
On-prem here, public cloud there. Just a few years ago, leveraging hybrid and multi-cloud with SAP would have been impossible. Now, it’s the new normal, and Linux can also support SAP Hana Large Instances on Microsoft Azure.
Amazon Web Services has been certified for various SAP applications for several years. The attractive offer provides light and shade, but a vendor lock-in also has to be verified.
This year, German companies will invest around 1.4 billion euros in Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions. This represents an increase of almost 30 percent over the previous year.
Companies will only become fit for the digital age when they switch to S/4 Hana. Is that really the case? No. The Enterprise Garage offers a proven way to increase the pace of innovation in a targeted manner using agile methods.
SAP and Microsoft want to move closer together in the cloud business by jointly offering cloud services to companies in the future. This could bring more freedom for members of the German-speaking SAP user group.
SAP consultant Itelligence cooperates with Amazon Web Services.
Right now, it's hard to judge which is scarier: a new BW with multi-temperature data management or the revitalized friendship with AWS.
SAP is more innovative than ever, but this fact hardly makes life easier for SAP's existing customers. Following SAP's ideas, visions and roadmaps is difficult or even impossible. Bimodal thus takes on a new meaning: SAP storms ahead, the existing customer is left behind in amazement.
With its figures for the first quarter of 2015, Amazon has also announced those of Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the first time.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
