Complete ERP implementation

As their previous IT system was no longer expandable, Holder GmbH from Kirchheim set out to find a new system and a suitable implementation partner.

The surface finishers found what they were looking for at the Göttingen-based IT service provider Sycor, whose industry solution Sycor.Surface, based on SAP Business All-in-One, could be quickly adapted to the company-specific processes.

"Our old system no longer met our needs. We simply needed a new, highly integrated solution that would equip us for the future"

Klaus-Dieter Laidig, Head of the SAP Steering Committee at Holder, summarizes the initial situation.

The requirements for the new system: integrative mapping of the entire supply chain, including container management, various manufacturing processes, quality, quotations and cost accounting. In addition, external systems such as the IQS quality management system and the Seeburger EDI solution were to be integrated into the system.

The embedding process had no noticeable impact on Holder's day-to-day business.

"We rolled out SAP FI/CO within six months and mapped logistics in SAP ERP in twelve months"

explains Roland Masurat, Project Manager at Sycor.

"We are very satisfied with the new solution. I have personally managed many SAP implementation projects in my career and I have to say that none of them have gone as smoothly as this one!"
