SAP Solution: Hana

The “Innovator's Dilemma”, as defined by Harvard professor Clayton M. Christensen, is evident in the SAP community every day. While SAP and its partners are cautious, their competitors are rushing ahead with innovations.
For many companies, the introduction of SAP S4/HANA is a strategic milestone on the road to digitalization. The quality and structure of the master data represent a key challenge.
Many companies and public authorities currently want to intensify digitization and modernization. In many cases, the existing IT infrastructure that has grown over many years represents an obstacle.
From left to right: Gerhard Kuppler, Vice President SAP Alliances, Oracle, and Kuen Sang Lam, Senior Director—Global SAP on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Technology, Oracle. In recent years, many black box systems have been replaced by hybrid architectures and composable IT. Oracle is at the forefront of this development with an extremely broad range of solutions.
The SAP cosmos includes many ERP modules, such as ECC, BTP, BDC, Private Edition, Transition Option, Customer Evolution, and New Business Suite. Who can keep track of them all?
SAP's ERP universe has been opening up in technical and business terms for many years. The black box R/3 has become a composable ERP, which is fed by many SAP cloud services, ERP/ECC 6.0, the new SAP Business Suite and numerous functions from third-party users and hyperscalers. With its expertise, global SAP partner Nagarro brings a methodology to this...
Joking aside, no, ECC is not making a comeback. These announcements also fit in with the strategically congruent decisions that SAP has been making since 2023. Why 2023? Because a major stumbling block in SAP's communication was cleared out of the way at that time.
With the migration to S/4 Hana, the German energy supplier Badenova has renewed its ERP system landscape. Selective data migration, separation of IS-U and ERP core and the introduction of new structures created the basis for modern, modular processes.
Slow SAP applications, outages, and risk reduction: ensuring flawless software delivery and meeting rising expectations is more important than ever. Thorough, automated testing should therefore be an integral part of SAP transformation projects.
It is amazing how many services and functions can be found on the Hana database platform. Unfortunately, there is no scientific study on the degree of usage.
Are you in the process of converting to S/4 Hana? Then you are probably familiar with the licensing difficulties that accompany such a change. Software Asset Management (SAM) can help lead the project to success.
All too often, SAP customers migrate far too much data to S/4, and in poor quality, losing its business context in the process. This turns a treasure trove of data into a risk for the data-driven enterprise of the future.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
