Smart Energy - Intelligent, Efficient and Renewable
In the last three years, the number of exhibitors in the "Smart Energy" area at E-World Energy & Water has more than doubled. In 2017, over 150 companies exhibited their services, products and technologies in this area alone.
Topics also include the effective networking and control of power generators, storage systems, as well as the digitization of metering and sustainable solutions for smart cities.
Exhibitors in the Smart Energy theme world include the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the German Energy Agency (Dena), Robert Bosch, the KfW Banking Group and Telefonica Germany. Among others, the IT service providers Mettenmeier and Conet, Fujitsu TDS and Sharp Electronics are celebrating their trade fair premiere this year.
"The companies exhibiting in the Smart Energy area come from the information technology, electronics and telecommunications sectors, among others. As a result, you can see how the energy industry is opening up to new cooperations, business areas and ideas in the wake of efficiency improvements and an increasingly process-oriented organization," says Stefanie Hamm, Managing Director of E-World Energy & Water.
As a platform and driving force for innovative products and services in the energy industry, E-World maps the challenges of the smart energy growth market, taking into account the entire value chain - in parallel with the areas of generation, efficiency, trading, transport, storage and green technologies. With the thematic focus "Smart City", one of the future fields in the growth market of the industry will also be expanded in 2018.
Specialist forums
The Smart Energy theme world will be accompanied by two open specialist forums: The Smart Tech Forum focuses on intelligent solutions and technical issues relating to IT security, digital platforms and smart grids.
In addition, the current status of the Sinteg projects will be presented by VDI/VDE Innovation Technik. Other partners of the forum include the VDE - Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies, the ZVEI - German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association, Bitkom and Business France.
The Energy Transition Forum addresses current challenges and developments in the energy transition - including energy efficiency, sector coupling and storage.
