The Walldorf-based public cloud provider and SAP partner Virtustream has entered into a partnership with the specialist for data management and data archiving in the SAP environment, PBS Software, Bensheim.
It is planned that customers will be able to archive their SAP data and documents in the Virtustream Storage Cloud in the future using the proven PBS ContentLink. With the Contentlink interface, archive data can now be stored in an unchangeable format in the Virtustream Storage Cloud directly at the time of storage.
The advantage here:
Customers use archiving as a service, so they do not have to worry about purchasing, implementing, and operating the corresponding hardware. The Virtustream Storage Cloud is specifically designed for complex, business-critical applications such as SAP.
The data is replicated in different data centers - so its availability is guaranteed even after a hardware failure. The technical validation of the new cloud offering has already been completed.
The partnership was officially announced at the DSAG Annual Conference in Bremen at the end of September 2017.
