Raymond Kok is Mendix CEO
Kok joins Mendix from Siemens Digital Industries Software, where he was senior vice president of platform development for Siemens Xcelerator. During his 22-year tenure at Siemens, Kok held key leadership roles: he supported the transition to SaaS, led the IIoT platform business and its integration into digital manufacturing, and established unified services for Siemens Xcelerator.
Kok's enthusiasm for the low-code platform goes back many years. At Siemens, he was one of the early adopters of the technology in general and of Mendix in particular. He played a key role in the initial discussions between the two companies that ultimately led to Siemens Digital Industries Software acquiring Mendix in 2018. "The founding principle of Mendix - the concept of bridging the gap between business, software engineering and IT - is as important today as it was almost 20 years ago when Mendix was founded," says Kok.
