Meeting Point: Join us here
The tight, two-day technical program of the G.I.B Success Days demands great receptiveness and a sound background from the participants.
"We're dealing with professionals here who, despite a busy schedule, take two days to spend with us. We can't offer shallow entertainment.
explains Björn Dunkel, Head of Sales and Marketing at G.I.B. The agenda includes exciting, challenging presentations on the success and barriers of software implementation, economic success, wishes and realities of use, amortization, improvement of logistical processes, user acceptance.
The realities are called by their names, in the presentations as well as in bilateral discussions between customers, interested parties and G.I.B employees. This openness, willingness to discuss and ability to accept criticism are the essential recipe for success of the event and at the same time reflect G.I.B's partnership-based and sincere approach to its customers.
"We are software developers. So it's only natural that we accept suggestions for further development. We are open to visions and wishes, which brings creativity to development and thought processes that has brought us to the forefront of logistics-optimizing SAP add-on manufacturers."
says Björn Dunkel.
But the event not only offers the opportunity to learn from the experience of others, the G.I.B developers and consultants also take to the microphone themselves.
What technical and technological innovations are there in the SAP market? What advantages and disadvantages do they offer and where can they be used? Where is the G.I.B Dispo Cockpit heading? What developments can users look forward to?
They provide tips and tricks on how users can make even better use of the system and talk about their experiences from implementation projects and coaching at the customer.
"Some participants attend our event just to finally meet the developers of the tool that accompanies them for eight hours or more every day"
Björn Dunkel discusses.
"There's a lot of shop talk that makes your ears pop."
he adds with a smile.
After so much input and concentrated technical discussions, it's time to take a breather on the evening of the first day. A casual evening event in an unusual setting is part of the Success Days concept.
With delicious food and good music, the guests are allowed to banter and feast without any technical background or logistical depth. But the evening does not remain without professional effects, because hardly anyone misses the opportunity for informal industry networking.
"Of course, we are in competition with many of the attendees, yet we are all in the same IT boat and struggle with similar challenges. For me, the exchange here is both exciting and fruitful. It's a very important exchange platform that brings considerable benefits to me and my company."
sums up Ludger Grothusheidkamp, SCM Planning Project Manager EDP at the harvester manufacturer Claas.
Stefan Renk, Supply Chain Manager at Trilux, is also enthusiastic:
"On the one hand, we learn about the innovations in the tools here, and on the other hand, we use the Success Days to learn from the experiences of other companies.
It also provides an opportunity to get new impetus for the additional topics we could tackle. Maintaining contacts also plays a major role. In this way, we remain in contact with G.I.B even after the end of the project.
